Overview
Following Sir Noel Coward's death in March 1973, the Mermaid Theatre
produced an entertainment, Cowardy Custard, which brought together
much of the best, and some of the less familiar, of Sir Noel's lyrics and
poems, with snatches of dialogue from the plays and passages of autobiography.
Part of a back to back double bill with Company presented to fill
the hole left by the temporary closure of Richmond Theatre for
refurbishment.
This production was revived for one night only in December 1989
at the Kitson Hall, Barnes in aid of the Barn Elms Wildfowl Campaign.
On this occasion Ian Davies replaced Alex Somerville.
